Professional irrigation solution for root canal endodontic treatments
Irrigation is a fundamental step in root canal treatments, which in addition to having the purpose of disinfecting the tissues, also has to remove organic and inorganic debris which could be a source of bacterial reinfection.
Currently, the main solutions used involve the use in combination of a calcium chelator, generally sodium hypochlorite or Edta, and chlorhexidine, an antibacterial without a dissolving capacity. However, the combined use of these two substances as irrigants is not always recommended as the mix between these compounds can give rise to a toxic molecule, parachloroaniline.
BioAkt® Endo is an innovative product in the endodontic field that performs a double action without potentially toxic chemical compounds.
Method of use
Use as a disinfectant with a chelating action for the cleansing of canal walls to free the dental tubes from the carpet of organic-mineral debris and mud (smear layer). It can be used as a single root canal irrigant or alternated with sodium hypochlorite if a solvent action of the pulp tissue is required. It can be used during and after root canal shaping.
Irrigate 5 or 10 ml of solution depending on the canal anatomy and the clinical situation (1-2 ampoules)
